How to switch between dark and light mode
Change Toolora’s appearance with Light and Dark themes, and keep your preference saved in the browser.
Available themes
Toolora includes two themes: • Light — bright surfaces with green accents (default) • Dark — near-black navy with emerald green accents
How to switch
1) Look for the palette icon in the top navigation bar. 2) Open the theme menu. 3) Choose Dark or Light. The page updates immediately.
Is my choice saved?
Yes. Toolora stores your theme in the browser (localStorage) so it persists across visits on the same device. Clearing site data resets it to Light.
Mobile and desktop
Theme switching works the same on phones and desktops. On smaller screens, open the menu drawer if needed, then use the palette control in the top bar. This does not change tool math, JSON formatting, or language (English vs Vietnamese is a separate control). Print and screenshot colors follow the active theme.
Troubleshooting
If the theme resets, you likely cleared site data, used a private window, or opened a different browser. Toolora does not read the OS light/dark preference to override a saved choice. Contrast is designed around emerald accents on navy or light surfaces — it is not a high-contrast accessibility theme.

Browsing tools is unchanged in either theme: start at /tools or /guides. Color Converter still uses the hex you paste, not the chrome color. Favorites and dashboard follow the same palette.
