How to generate a strong password
Create a strong random password in your browser with Toolora’s Password Generator.
What makes a password strong
Length and randomness matter most. A long password that mixes lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and symbols is harder to guess or brute-force than a short memorable phrase with substitutions.
Steps
1) Open Password Generator at /tools/password-generator. 2) Choose a length of at least 16 characters (custom length is available). 3) Enable lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and symbols unless a site forbids a set. 4) Optionally require each selected set and exclude look-alike characters (0/O, 1/l). 5) Use Regenerate for a new string — there is no Run button on the article page. 6) Copy into a password manager, not a spreadsheet.
Strength on the same page vs the checker
The generator shows a local strength label as you change options. Password Strength Checker at /tools/password-strength scores a candidate you already have (length, mixed case, digits, symbols). Neither looks up breach lists. Bcrypt Hash / Verify at /tools/bcrypt-hash is for hashing, not for inventing a memorable phrase.
Worked example
Length 20, all four sets, require each set: you should see a long mix that is awkward to memorize — that is the point. A 8-character “Summer2026!” may look clever and still score poorly. UUID Generator makes identifiers, not login secrets. Random Number Generator is integers, not passwords.
Privacy
