How to generate Lorem Ipsum

When to use placeholder text
Lorem Ipsum lets you focus on layout and typography before final copy is ready. It is useful in design drafts, UI prototypes, and print comps.
Steps
1) Open Lorem Ipsum Generator at /tools/lorem-ipsum. 2) Choose paragraphs, sentences, or a word count. 3) Generate (the article page uses the generator control, not a generic Run on some layouts). 4) Copy into a mockup. Notes are optional and do not rewrite the Latin.
Worked example
Three paragraphs fill a blog layout so you can judge line length. A 50-word block is enough for a card. This is not translated product copy and not a typing test — Typing Speed Test at /tools/typing-speed-test uses its own sample. Fake JSON generates structured fixtures, not paragraphs.

Common mistakes
Treating Lorem as translatable UI copy will ship Latin to production. A “word count” here is generator size, not the Word Count tool’s tokenizer — open /tools/word-count on real draft text. Paragraph mode stacks blocks with blank lines; sentence mode is better for a single card. This is not legal Ipsum with a license paragraph, not a name picker, and not random numbers. If you need structured dummy users, Fake JSON is the better fixture. Nothing is uploaded. Close the tab; the Latin is disposable.
